Ways to give

The Ridgefield Playhouse has an opportunity to purchase a NEW Steinway Model B piano. Many of our artists require a piano and we have, for the past 15 years, had a lovely Baldwin baby grand which was donated. As you can imagine, this piano has seen a lot of performers over the last 15 years and it is time for a new one.

Steinway has given us an amazing discount and the Piano will be costing us $80,000. (Which is $25,000 less than its listed price)

Help us raise $80,000 to purchase this brand new Steinway

Arts for Everyone

The Arts for Everyone program helps make the performing arts available to economically disadvantaged residents of Fairfield County who cannot afford the cost of admission, even at reduced rates. The Playhouse was founded in the belief that arts can and do make a difference in the lives of people, and that accessibility to the arts should not be limited by one’s ability to pay. Arts for Everyone works with a wide range of non-profit organizations including ABC, Ability Beyond Disability, Danbury Youth Services, Family and Children’s Aid, Grassroots Tennis, Mental Health Associates of CT and the Out and About Club. Your donation helps provide tickets and transportation to the Playhouse.

Bruce Becker Scholarship Fund

Set up in memory of past Playhouse Board member Bruce Becker, this fund helps offset fees for children and adults who cannot afford tuition for RPH class offerings in songwriting, comedy, screenwriting and more.  Bruce, an avid music lover and patron of the arts, shared the Playhouse’s mission and philosophy to make the arts more accessible to everyone.

Kitty Rosa Preservation Fund

As a dedicated Board Member and volunteer of the Ridgefield Playhouse, Kitty Rosa was an important member of Ridgefield society right up until her passing in 2014. As such, The Ridgefield Playhouse, along with her daughter Elizabeth Rosa Beresford, has set up a Preservation Fund in her memory that will keep the Playhouse and its facility, which is housed in a building first built in 1909 (with the auditorium added later in 1939,) preserved and in good condition for years to come.
