Formed in 1958 , the O’Jays are a Philadelphia-based R&B and soul group known for their classic hits “Love Train” and “Now That We Found Love.” Today, The O’Jays consist of three of their original members: Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, and Eric Grant. Widely recognized as the first black vocal group to perform in arenas during the ‘70s and ‘80s, The O’Jays are a large part of America’s musical and civil rights history. The group has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2005), Vocal Group Hall of Fame (2005), and The Official R&B Music Hall of Fame (2013). In 2009, they were honored with BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
While making their Playhouse debut, the group is also embarking on their final tour, The Last Stop on the Love Train. Don’t miss The O’Jays historic first and last performance on our stage.
