About the Artist

The original Superman film is flying back to theaters to celebrate its 40th Anniversary!

Director Richard Donner’s 1978 live-action Man of Steel film will return to theaters to celebrate its 40th anniversary, a limited release hosted by Fathom Events. The classic comic book movie features Christopher Reeve as the heroic Man of Steel, Margot Kidder as investigative reporter Lois Lane, Marlon Brando as Jor-El and Gene Hackman as the diabolical Lex Luthor. While this film made an impact with its characters, Superman: The Movie also introduced the world to John Williams’ unforgettable Superman theme song, which is widely considered to be the definitive Superman theme song.
